Terms of use, disclaimer and privacy

Last updated November 6, 2026. By using LongTermSports.com you agree to these terms.

1. Educational content only

LongTermSports provides general education for parents and guardians of young athletes. The lessons, quizzes and certificate are for information and awareness. They are not a substitute for the judgment of your child's coaches, your club's policies, or the laws and sport-body rules that apply where you live.

2. Not medical, legal or professional advice

Nothing on this site is medical advice. Content about concussion, injury, rest, sleep, nutrition or hydration is general guidance drawn from published sources and may not fit your child's situation. If you suspect a concussion or any injury, follow your sport organization's protocol and see a physician or other qualified health professional. Nothing on this site is legal advice. If a child may be in danger, contact your local police or child protection service immediately.

3. What the certificate means

A LongTermSports certificate confirms that the named person completed the course modules, passed the quizzes and signed the Parent Pledge on the date shown. It is not a background check, police record check, screening, licence or guarantee of anyone's conduct. Clubs that require the certificate remain responsible for their own screening, safeguarding and code-of-conduct processes. Certificates expire two years after issue and can be verified at longtermsports.com/verify.

4. Accuracy and sources

We work to keep the content accurate and list the research each module relies on at longtermsports.com/research. Research changes, and sport rules differ by country, province, state and organization. We do not guarantee that the content is complete, current or applicable to your circumstances. If you believe something is wrong, email hello@longtermsports.com.

5. Your account and conduct

You must complete the course yourself; completing it on behalf of another person, or sharing a sign-in link, is not permitted and may void the certificate. You are responsible for the accuracy of the name you enter on the certificate. We may remove accounts or certificates obtained through misuse.

6. Privacy summary

We store your email address, the name you enter, your lesson progress, quiz results and certificate details. If a club invited you or you joined through a club link, that club's administrators can see your name, email, progress and certification status. We send email only to sign you in, to invite or remind you on behalf of your club, and to deliver your certificate. We do not sell personal information. Sign-in links expire after 30 minutes. To have your data deleted, email hello@longtermsports.com from the address on the account.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LongTermSports and the people who operate it are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from use of this site or reliance on its content, including decisions made by parents, athletes, coaches or clubs. The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

8. Changes

We may update these terms and the course content from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
